Stargazer's Nook

House was exactly as described. It was very clean and in a great location. It was so quiet and peaceful.

Outdoor amenities and property are terrific. Love 3 floors and 3 baths. The kitchen floor unfortunately is very squeaky and was annoying to all especially those below. The stairs are not easy to traverse, which is why I couldn’t recommend.without mentioning.. The owners have a gem and they care about your experience. The loft is spectacular

The house was perfect for a family getaway! We spent lots of time in the hot tub, playing board games, and reading in the many comfy chairs. The nook was in high demand between the kids, so they all spent time there lounging and looking at the stars. We put the fire pit to go use, perfect for s'mores. The tree canopy was filled with birds; woodpeckers, blue jays, hummingbirds, etc. The kitchen was well-equipped. We also ventured into town and to the pool for a change of pace. Overall, the house had everything we needed and granted us time to refresh and reflect before returning to school or work. Linda was always available to answer our questions and help out.

Our stay at the Stargazer was beyond expectations! We went for a Sisters getaway and it met our needs perfectly! Wish we would have booked a longer stay! Location was great, close enough to a variety of activities but also provided privacy and peace and quiet. Loved having breakfast on the screened in patio. Will definitely be back!

Our family enjoyed the large kitchen for cooking meals and eating together. More family stayed down the street and we all enjoyed everything to see and do nearby!

Stargazer's Nook is the perfect home for a family vacation or a ladies-only retreat. This home is in the perfect location as it is a short distance to Galena. We enjoyed the quiet ambiance of the neighborhood and the spacious layout of the home. The home was very clean and well organized, and it was evident this home has been well taken care of. The home had it all - games, hot tub, fireplace, comfortable beds, and was stocked with everything you might need for your vacation. I look forward to being a repeat customer.

This property was exactly what was listed. We enjoyed staying here. The house was very clean upon arrival and the entry to the house was easy with our code. The stay at the house was very nice also. The check out process was smooth and a nice list of what had to be done before leaving was left on the fridge. We would stay here again

Guys golfing weekend

I was so impressed with this home. So much room and great layout. Girls weekend was a blast. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time. The was much bigger than we thought. Beautiful views and clean. We will book this again next year. We had a rainy weekend so didn't get to use the firepit but hopefully next year.

We enjoyed our stay over a long weekend. One point to note: this home is property managed. There is a bedroom upstairs, and the "nook" is a queen bed. There is a bedroom on the main floor w/ twins, and a bedroom on the lower level. The beds were too firm for me, but we layered extra blankets and it helped but wish our bed was softer. The house could use some general updates but was very clean, which to me is more important than aesthetic. The bathrooms were very spacious, great for large families, and the kitchen had all that we needed to cook our meals. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, tossed ball in the front yard, foosball, and views at night from the nook (and outside if it's a clear night, we could see the Milky Way). We were bummed the grill didn't work when we were there, were hoping for our final BBQ of the season/year and had to fry our burgers instead. The house was in a nice location, there were houses around but still felt like it was a quiet road where we could stroll and enjoy the fall colors. It's very close - less than 5 minute drive - to the clubhouse, which we enjoyed playing pool, ping pong and more foosball. The drive is short to downtown Galena, under 15 minutes. Unfortunately it was hunting season and many of the scenic walks/overlooks were closed, and there was a major fair taking place, so it was really crowded everywhere, we'll adjust our timing next time but love this area.

We loved our stay at this property. The house was very clean and big enough to accommodate 7 of us. Check in was simple and check out instructions were straight forward. The neighborhood was neat and the drive out there was very pretty. Only downside was the distance from downtown/Main Street, but we set up transportation through a local service recommended by the rental company and it worked out very well. I’m sure there are a lot of activities closer to the house that we just didn’t have time explore during our short stay. Would definitely recommend this house!
