Beautiful home with a beautiful view. Great backyard with a nice fire pit for the whole family to hang out around. Highly recommend this house!

Beautifully decorated comfortable large home perfect for 9 girls on a weekend getaway. Could be slightly cleaner in certain areas. Spotty WiFi and tv service at times. Lots of nice amenities in the home. Hot tub and karaoke machine were appreciated and used. Would recommend with a few cleaning tweaks . Not too far from downtown Galena-15 minute drive.

House met our needs well. Could use a tea kettle though, and the deck needs some love, as do the patio doors which were hard to open. Wifi spotty but you are in the country. Laura and Todd were a great, responsive help with a few glitches. Could not figure out karaoke machine, or perhaps it was not working, but we had so much else to do not a biggie. You need longer than our 3 nights to truly enjoy all this house has to offer.

Have a home down the road so we had 6 and 6 at 446 Territory. Guys loved it. Room for 12 or more. 6 bathrooms all were great. Galena Territory has everything for golf vacation. This house was like a resort experience. Highly recommend.

Home is in a great location near the owners club. The owners added nice touches including a new grill, s’mores kit, fully stocked coffee station and well stocked kitchen with pots, pans and utensils. The home is large and spacious with multiple places for people to hang out and lots of games for kids and adults. The outside of the home needs some work including painting and new deck. The towels had a musty dirty wet smell even though they were clean. Overall nice home and our family had a great time

We rented this home for a business trip for 5 people. The house was set up perfectly for us. the layout of the bedrooms was good and the kitchen was well equipped. We cooked up a feast one night for our MGMT staff from the area. The location was convenient to Galena where we grabbed some pizza.
The house was clean and well maintained, although the deck could use a little extra maintenance.

Our family of 13 stayed in 446 Territory Dr. We had all different age group, we came in on Friday afternoon until Monday morning. We use everything the house provided. The grill worked great they even had an extra gas for it. The Hot Tub was wonderful, warm , big, easy to use.. We had a fire in the fire pit two of the nights wood was supplied by the house. What we all enjoyed was all the different area people could just hang out in. There is a screened porch, a library, a sitting room, a large deep deck on the backside that went from one end of the house to the other with many entrances, a game room down stairs kept everyone happy, and a huge open main family-kitchen area with plenty of seating area.
The place was clean well supplied, a lot of TV in a lot of rooms, kitchen had about everything one needed, 2 refrigerators, 1 in the garage and a large one in the kitchen. We had room for4 cars parking in our driveway.
Our internet stopped on Saturday, someone answered the phone when I called about the problem, and someone was out to fix it within an hour. I told them about the small coffee pot was not working and he brought a new one with him when he work on the internet.
We went to the Club both days WOW!
Drove into Galena, I would recommend going early or go on a weekday it’s busy on the weekend.
It was a great find and planning to return soon!

Great property fun and accommodating

We had a great time on our weekend in Galena. We have stayed many times at 446 Territory-Grand Galena Retreat and all of the new improvements and changes are wonderful. We had good weather and were able to sit outside on the deck and enjoy it.

Absolutely loved this property! We had a large group but there was plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable. The yard is great and we loved the fire pit! Would highly recommend this place for a big family or any size group.

This house was perfect for our group of 8 and our mini high school reunion get together. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Many different spaces to hang out in. Everyone was super happy with it!

Xmas 2023 planning to stay here again

The house worked to perfectly for party of 10. Great amenities to enjoy! Our whole group loved the place.

We enjoyed our short stay. A few minor issues: 3 coffee pots would not work; tv in the master bedroom and game room did not work; outdoor grill was not clean so did not use. Major issue: many nails poking through the deck. Not safe to walk on with bare feet. My daughter stepped on one and caused pain to her heal.

We LOVED the new fire pit!!! This house was perfect for our larger family. We found it to be very clean and had plenty of places to spread out and enjoy games. The quiet surroundings were perfect and there was plenty of room for our grandkids to run and play. They were excited to see some turkeys! The hot tub was obviously well taken care of. The kids loved swimming at the Club
pools! We were pleased with the WiFi. Our family will definitely consider this place to stay at on future visits to Galena.

They couldn’t have made it any easier! What a perfect weekend. The house was clean, spacious, and so cute! Plenty of bathrooms for 14 girls to get ready which is hard to come by. Hot tub was the cherry on top. Would definitely recommend this place and this host!

This home was ideal for a women’s retreat/Christmas shopping gathering in Galena. There were 6 bedrooms, one of which had 2 queen beds. Each bedroom had its own bath. We cooked together (plenty of plates, utensils, enjoyed the wood fireplace. Was immaculately cleaned. Lovely setting close enough to town. Will go again!

A great space! Very comfortable. It could use a little upkeep--a good deep cleaning and a couple small repairs. Kitchen was well stocked. I had seen reviews saying it needed coffee mugs but now there are plenty. Parking was a concern initially but we parked 8 vehicles in tight. We weren't going in and out so it was fine. Management was helpful. They connected us to Clubhouse so we could have extra parking if necessary.

Everything was as described and in working order. We had 5 children (under age 8) in our group and it was a good fit. The house had a lived in feel but everything worked. We cooked pretty much every meal, and all the supplies we needed were there. Occasionally it seemed like some kitchen items needed to be cleaned before using. If you shower in the downstairs bathroom, make sure to close the door and use the fan as to not set off the smoke alarm :)

Overall it was a good experience. The size of the home and the bedrooms and bathrooms was a perfect fit for our extended family coming together from Iowa and Wisconsin. The layout of the house was nice giving each family their own space and the full bathroom with each bedroom was wonderful. The yard is beautiful and our family enjoyed playing outside and enjoying the firepit. The screened in porch was lovely and become one of our favorite spots. However there were a few things that were disappointing. First off, the key box did not work so we never were able to get the keys but the code opened and locked the door so we managed. The kitchen was very small and the refrigerator was small for a home that size. There was a counter electrical outlet that was lose and frankly we were concerned to use it. Neither coffee maker worked well. One took over one hour to brew a pot of coffee and the other wasn't much better. The carpets throughout the house were dirty, the master bedroom had a huge stained area and the stairway carpets were stained. Again, a disappointment for such a beautiful home. There were only 6 passes to the galena territory for a house accommodating and advertised to sleep 14. It was not expensive to purchase more passes but seems like there should have been the total number for the people I registered to be staying. The facility with the pools was very nice but it was inconvenient to have to pack up the family to go to the pool. Definitely a drawback. Only two garbage cans were not enough for even a weekend stay.

We had our family of 14 stay here with kids ranging from 1-19. There was plenty of space and it was perfect to entertain people of all ages. The rooms were very spacious and there was enough square footage that we never felt we were on top of each other! The only negatives were that the main light over the dining room table didn’t work which made it hard to have a game night once the sun went down, and there were only 6 passes to the clubhouse and we had to pay $5 per day per person over that number to utilize the amenities there. But given those being the only 2 negatives, we had an overall wonderful stay!

Our stay was wonderful! It slept everyone comfortable! Kitchen had everything we needed. More than enough space for us. Thanks!

We all had a great time on our weekend away. We had ladies from Des Moines, Chicago, Omaha and South Bend. This is our 22nd year coming to Galena and 5 time in this house. We love it!

There was 12 of us and we had great time. There is plenty space and the house is beautiful. We would like to see more large coffee mugs and updated pots . I would definitely recomend this property!

We had a great time! Five stars all around! There were 11 of us last week (February), and we had plenty of space! The house is beautiful, clean, and spacious with plenty of towels, dishes, pots/pans, and even some books and games. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was great, and there is plenty of seating (large DR table for meals or games, kitchen table, table in the library, couches, chairs, outdoor furniture, etc.). Sound carries in the open concept space, but outside of that, the space worked well for our family reunion.

A few things need attention:
* The electric stove takes a LONG time to heat up, so meals took longer than expected.
* The shower in the main bathroom works great! But the handle is broken and has a sharp edge.

A few small suggestions:
*The HVAC is tricky: my daughter was familiar with the thermostat, but otherwise we would have struggled...also, hard to get consistent temperature. *The library was very warm, while the open concept LR/DR/K area was harder to keep warm. Maybe we just needed some guidance.
*We would have loved more large coffee mugs...I think there were only four, though there were many teacups.
*We didn’t know to bring our own shampoo and bath soap – perhaps this is a standard that we just weren’t aware of, but as hotels provide those things, we thought this rental would, as well. Just a suggestion to add that to the description. (There was plenty of hand soap, but it was watery.)

Home was grest plenty of room 4 6 couples. Adequately stocked. Easy instructions. Definitely better than a hotel. Pool table was great. Everyone their own bathroom. Definitely reccommend

Owners club was way more crowded than previous years
so we did not use it at all. Management was great

There was 10 of us staying here and loved that each room had a private bathroom. The Livingroom furniture really needed updated but that is the only thing we were dissatisfied with.

Our experience staying at Tranquil Territory was fantastic! Everything went seamlessly and the house was the perfect size for my sister-in-laws bachelorette party with 12 people. I would definitely recommend staying here! The only struggle is that it is hard to find transportation to downtown Galena if you are not able to drive. If you are good to drive yourself it is very close!

Six bedrooms/bathrooms for six gals was perfect. Large house with plenty of room to spread out. Furniture needs updating. Was told furniture was ordered 5 months ago. Management made the check in/out process easy.

Our family of 13 (kids and grandkids) had a marvelous weekend with plenty of space for all to do their own thing. Including kickball game in the spacious back yard.

The property was beautiful! The house was spacious and met all of our needs. We had a large group, but we were perfectly comfortable both inside the home as well as outside. The house was very clean, and everything was in good working order.

Place was nice could use some updates on some stuff. But everything was great!

Our party of 13 fit comfortably in this home. There was more than enough beds and the size of the house was perfect. The home was very clean, spacious, vaulted ceilings with ton of windows and natural light. Wood burning fire place in mail living room and fireplace in basement. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub.
The grocery stores are nearby. We also enjoyed the casino and steak house which was about a 25 minute drive from the property. The property manager was very helpful and responsive.

My husband and I had a group of 14 adults and the accommodations was perfect. Our three day stay featured plenty of card playing and out door Bar-B-Q. We also used the hot tub, and on-site pool table. All ammetities in the home worked perfectly fine. Two couples wished they had a television in their rooms, but offside of that, we will definitely be returning again. Thanks Great Escape!!!

It was Great. First day the cable/WiFi went out and contacted Vacation Homes. Sent a man out that nite and unfortunately he could not fix the problem but had people there next morning. All was repaired and this never re-occurred!

The home was in a beautiful setting and was very clean! Exactly as the pictures show. Everything was easy to locate as well throughout the stay.

The house was clean and very organized fully equipt. We had a wonderful time the layout was open and the whole family was able to move around without getting in each other‘s way. If there was any downside I would say the Wi-Fi kept going off and on however we did contact management and they were eager to assist us so overall it was a great Christmas vacation

We had our family Christmas in Galnea at this house and the location and set up were perfect for the 9 of us. Every couple and every child had their own bedroom and bathroom. The house was very clean and we enjoyed using the hot tub. The owners clubhouse was fun for the kids and male adults-swimming and shooting hoops. Location is great. The only complaint was that the internet didn’t work and cell coverage is difficult to get in the territories in general.

We needed a large space for twelve guys who wanted a couple of days of lawn games, board games, and soaking in the hot tub. This home delivered more than we could have hoped for! Excellent rental experience. Highly recommend for large groups (it is so much space!) We will be coming back.

Wonderful property for a family reunion!

The rental was great and clean a vert quiet getaway from the city. Great view and area to just relax. Only issues was the furniture was not in the best shape and the pool table did not play the way it should. But overall a nice vacation rental.

This was a great place for us 5 couples to stay. Each couple had a private bedroom and bathroom. Galena is a lovely area with numerous activities.

Plenty of room for all of us (14) and then some. There were plenty of utensils, plates, etc. as well as some spices and essentials that were great to have. The pool and basketball court were great to have when the weather was bad. The management company was responsive and fantastic to work with. The place was clean and comfortable, would stay here again!

We had a great two days for our family Christmas. Weather was awesome. Somewhat disappointed that the house wasn't handicap accessible. I guess we either read or assumed that it was. We took my daughters ramps along so we could get her in the house through the garage. She got by, she and her husband used the main floor bedroom. Inside doors aren't wide enough for a wheelchair. We will probably look next year for a house that is more assessable.

Three generations celebrated a 70th birthday and Thanksgiving in this wonderful house. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we always had multiple activities going on all at once. The home was well designed, clean, comfortable, and private. Our family had a superb time.

We loved the house & location. It was clean, a little worn but clean. One bathroom downstairs kept plugging & needed plunger. There were a few bugs but nothing out of control. We couldn’t get cable on the tv in the game room/library which was annoying. Otherwise it is a House we would go back to. Fit our needs perfectly. Thank you.

we enjoyed our rental and the location. Our only concern was the Jacuzzi tub which was in very poor shape an air vent nozzles were very black which made taking a shower there not appealing.

My hubbs and I stay was Ahmazing...We absolutely love staying at the Galena Terr. we stayed with 5 other couples and had a Ahmazing time. Linda and Abby are great and helped with everything we needed to make our stay Ahmazing. Upon arriving at the house it was very hot but Linda took care of that. The people that come in help are wonderful and polite and never took long to come.
I do have one complaint lol I wanted a broom and a mop to clean while we were there lol so please for people like me.... Please leave a mop and broom..other than that..WE LOVED IT

Group of 14 were able to stay comfortably. Space was great. AC was a little overworked on our stay, but property manager was responsive. Overall, fantastic time with property and amenities of the territories

We had our family vacation here and it was wonderful! It's a huge home with plenty of space for a large family to spread out. The amenities are great and it was very clean.

The house we stayed in was huge! It had 7 bathrooms and 7 bedrooms. It fit all of us girls easily. Plenty of space. It was only 15 minutes from Main St. in Galena which isnt bad. Not many Ubers or lifts available so I drove into town but easily found free parking every time. The house was clean but very outdated. Some things were broken when we got there like the sliding door handle. I texted for early check in and they let us come at 1 opposed to 4 which was really nice. I thought the amount of things we had to do at the house before leaving was a little exessive. Overall it was the perfect place for a group of girls to get away!

What a LARGE house! We stayed for the weekend and had plenty of room for all of us. The hot tub was amazing and we loved the fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom. We arrived on a Friday and had lunch downtown and then walked around the the house is a perfect distance away (not too far)...we stayed at the house all weekend and watched movies and sat in the hot FUN! All the girls can't wait to come back.


Yes, the house is "dated"...but for what we needed (space and a hot tub) it was perfect!! I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

I always bring kitchen stuff as you never know what they are going to have and surprisingly the kitchen is well stocked. They had pyrex dishes, cutting board, muffin tins, knives, pizza cutter, wine opener and plenty of pitchers.

I also was afraid we would run out of paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, etc)...but they stocked 5 stars for that.

My family enjoyed the pleasant comfortable stay at the territory rd vacation rental home. Many fine amenities such as a stack of firewood, paper towels, tissues, linens+extra blankets, dishes, glassware pans etc. Location was close to town, riding stable, lodge also. Enjoyed the warm cozy feeling of the home!

The property is amazing. It is gracious enough to feel special but comfortable enough to relax and enjoy. We had 12 family members there and everyone had room to enjoy, rest or play. It is close enough to Galena to enjoy the city if you wish and far enough in gorgeous countryside to avoid the traffic and crowds all together. It rained our entire weekend and no one cared. We sat by the fire, some went to the club to play basketball and everyone of had a great time. We will most likely go back next year. Management was most accommodating and pleasant to work with.

This property worked very well for our group of 8 women. There was plenty of beds, baths and seating. The property over all is in need of some maintenance and upgrades. The leather couches are worn, the wood floors deeply scratched and the walls are in need of paint. But, if you can overlook the cosmetic flaws, it is a great property for large groups.

We really enjoyed staying at this home! Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space when they wanted to be alone and yet a large room and deck for gathering together. Not sure there were 4 King beds which is what we wanted for at least 4 of the bedrooms. I would say 2 King beds and 3 queen beds and 2 full size beds. It is close to the Owner's Club with a large baby pool. The grandkids LOVED it!! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!! I would recommend it for any large family gathering!!

lovely home & well portioned. There were 10 of us and all want to come back again. We had trouble figuring out the temperature control tho so maybe a lttle sticker on the thermostat would do it. Thanks owners for letting us use your fantatic home.
