Had a great time!

The Coach House lived up to the pictures & descriptions. Very comfortable and charming. Kitchen well stocked. Location is close to town & attactions, but surroundings are still quiet & peaceful. We would definately stay here again.

This Galena house is charming and in great proximity to downtown area. Leaving the car behind, we were easily able to walk to all the shopping and restaurants. Our favorite store in Galens was Poopsies. It provided unique and fun gifts for our small grandchildren and we did the majority of our xmas shopping during our extended weekend stay. We can't say enough about the management & housekeeping staff, they were extremely accommodating when we requested early check in to get our babies a nap, when arriving in Galena. The house was immaculate also. A great overall experience and one we may be doing as an annual xmas shopping event.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Coach House! The home was very clean, well equipped and right at the door step of Main Street. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you for the hospitality. We hope to be back sometime soon!

We had a nice stay. Everything was very clean. It was a short trip but enjoyable. Host was very nice and accommodating.

The interior of the unit was very clean and nicely decorated. I would rate that very high. The issues we experienced were; the third level bed room was VERY hot, it needs it own AC for the room. There should be a handrail on the stairway from first to second level. Finally the worst was the patio and deck. They both were filthy, weed growing on the deck, mold on the railing, the furniture was not clean, finally the stone surface of the patio is very uneven and cracked, almost unsafe to walk on.

It was a girls getaway. The Coach House was within walking distance from main street. A nice treat. The place was clean with a lot of amenities. We would stay there again.

I definitely would rent this house again ! It was clean, had everything we needed, very close to town. The property management company was very easy to work with and explained everything we needed to know. I will definitely recommend Vacation Homes of Galena to my friends and family.

Peaceful and quiet, the Coach House has all the amenities, clean and comfortable. Lots of stairs for those who have arthritis. A mini-fridge would be a nice addition to the living room area or in the laundry room. 10 minute walk to Main Street.

Long weekend with special friends. Loved the coach house. Great accommodations. Perfect location for walking to downtown Galena. Beautiful little town with the many shops and restaurants. So happy we made the visit to Galena.

First impression was cute but musty smelling at least the 1st floor which contained the kitchen and small sitting area. Go up the stairs to the next floor which has a bedroom with bath(tub only), laundry room with a nice sitting area. There is another set of stairs to the 2nd bedroom with bath. This room was rather warm- I'm hoping they put an ac unit in one of the windows because it would be hot up there in the summer time. Overall very nice place,spacious bedrooms and nice size bathrooms.

We've been coming to Galena for the last 13 years. Almost always in the winter to ski and enjoy Whiskey Weekend. In years past we have had larger groups, but these days it's just us. We have stayed in the Coach House before and it is such a unique and cozy experience. We absolutely love this house! It's perfect for our weekend trips from down state. Check-In is always a breeze. The place is always clean and welcoming. Plus, you're a short walk to Main St, but still far enough away to have a quiet evening in. Cannot recommend this property or Vacation Homes of Galena enough! They are always wonderful to work with. We will never go through anyone else!

The Coach House didn't disappoint! The space was immaculately clean and very nicely appointed. You can tell the property owners care about the quality of your stay! Comfy beds, plenty of towels, and linens. The second-floor family room is cozy. We have already recommended the property to friends looking to visit Galena. It's absolutely within walking distance of the Main Street shopping & restaurant district.

We had two couples and stayed at the coach house for two nights. It was very cute and clean. Old feel but renovated. Short walk to downtown Galena with places to park on site. Beds were comfy. Would have loved to use the outside patio but it was Feb. Seating areas were a little small but fine for the 4 of us.

The water for the shower was only mildly warm it seemed like there was no hot water need to fix for next renters

We loved staying at the Coach House! It was clean, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and a really great place for us girls to stay for a long weekend.

This little cottage was the perfect romantic getaway we wanted! We walked to the shops and restaurants, Grant Park, and the fall foliage was exactly what I was looking for. This was the perfect fall getaway and we will be coming back!

Can’t say anything negative about this cute little house. We stayed with another couple and had so much fun! A short couple of minutes walk to downtown was extremely convenient. House was clean and tidy. The stairs may be a problem for someone with limited nobilities, but we had no issues. Everything was clean and in order, the beds and pillows were comfy, and upper and lower outdoor seating areas. Would stay here again!

60th B day party for my Mom in Galena. This house is in a very convenient location close to historic downtown Galena. Due to extreme heat we did end up driving down to shop but if it was cooler we could have easily walked. The house was clean, cute, and well stocked with anything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great! Nice quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

My sister and I stayed in this beautiful coach house for 2 nights in July 2023. The location is great for walking to town. The house was very clean and had all the essentials you need. There is a bed and bath on the second floor, and another on the third- both beds were very comfortable.

Nice stay close to downtown. Very clean and well stocked. 2 full bedrooms with a blow up bed. No good area for blow up. Short walk downtown or quick drive most anywhere. Highly recommend.

Just stayed with my in laws, husband, and son, and we couldn't have had a nicer time! The coach house is very well appointed, comfortable, located walking distance to Main St, all around great stay!

Beautiful home on so many levels! Beautifully renovated home very comfortable. Did I mention levels. . 3 actually! Entry level has kitchen and small living space. A short climb to level two with bedroom/. Bath and living room and a nice deck. Another climb to bedroom and bath three. But as a local told us-hey, in Galena you have to climb everywhere.

We really enjoyed our staff. Especially enjoyed the kitchen area with the fire place. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. Close and quick proximity to downtown Galena. Other reviewers have commented on the stairs and while yes, a bathroom on the entry level by the kitchen/fire place would be nice, it was not a deal breaker for us. We loved our stay and are looking forward to when we can come back during the summer months to enjoy more of the outdoor areas the property offers.

My sister is getting married, so we decided a weekend in Galena was the perfect way to celebrate her! We were delighted to find the charming Coach House. The walk to Main Street was quick, and the home itself was comfortable for five women (I slept on the couch, which was actually quite comfortable). We will definitely stay at the Coach House next time we are in Galena!

My three sisters and I enjoyed a few nights at this charming venue. We loved the location and the amenities. There was a problem with the air conditioning and it was addressed in a timely manner. The property is clean and comfortable. If you cannot do stairs, do not choose this venue.

very comfortable kitchen space. lots of outdoor room. lots of parking. very comfortable sleeping quarters. very clean and well maintained. assistance was quickly available for questions. very nice pool area at clubhouse. wonderful little town offering both quaint park spaces and bustling touristy city center.

We stayed at Coach house for a girls’ weekend. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. There was plenty of room for 2 of us. It’s super close to downtown (we chose to drive and it’s about 2 minutes). We would definitely choose this house again!

Bedrooms are on the second and third level. No dishwasher. Very cute, cozy and comfortable. I would stay here again.

We rented this cabin for the weekend for my Mom’s birthday. Everyone had such a good time! Galena is such a lovely area to walk around, and this cozy cabin was the perfect place to come home too. We were a group of 5, so used both bedrooms, as well as the blowup mattress. Since I slept on blowup mattress, I just wanted fo mention that it was the nicest blow up mattress I’ve ever slept on: it fills in minutes because you plug it in, and it keeps air all night (no deflating). It was sadly too cold to full utilize the beautiful deck but our group definitely plans to return! Thank you!

We LOVED our experience at the Coach House. The location is so convenient with an easy walk to downtown Galena. No worries about finding parking & the walk is only a couple minutes. The house is super cute & clean. This will definitely be the place we stay next time we are visiting Galena.

lovely decorated home with 2 very spacious bedrooms, baths and 2 living areas. TVs in all areas, full kitchen with plenty of supplies. 2 flights of stairs may trouble some but this won't keep us from returning.

This was a cozy home, beautifully appointed, comfortable, clean and so close to downtown Galena. We would walk to Main Street.

We enjoy staying at the Coach house each year. Last year we missed staying due to COVID-19 Pandemic but made up for it this year. Enjoyed the close drive to the shops and restaurants. Beautiful clean home to relax in. We love the special features on the two flights of stairs and the comfy beds.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Coach House in Galena. We will try to make it a regular "girls" vacation. Thank you for everything.

This home has beautiful finishes and is so convenient to Galena's historic district, restaurants and shops. Be aware that there is no shower in the Queen bedroom attached bathroom, just a whirlpool tub. Perfect for a family, a little awkward for two couples vacationing together. But a small nit for a great stay!

My two adult daughters and I stayed in the Coach House for two nights and loved it. We had stayed here before a few years ago. It's so close to town so we could walk there. The inside is completely updated and the beds are so comfy. Would definitely recommend staying here. We will do it again. Check in and out so easy.

The location of the cottage was perfect. The cleanliness, kitchen items, the extra reading material and the uniqueness made our time very enjoyable.

The carriage house is charming and spotlessly clean. The bed was amazing (so many pillows and great bed linens) and so was the shower - plenty of water pressure. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans so you can cook. It's a short walk to downtown Galena. The check in and check out instructions were clear and thorough.

The Coach House was a perfect Galena get-away. The full kitchen provided a great setting to prepare a home cooked meal and avoid the calories of eating out every meal. An easy walk to downtown Galena provided the ability to shop the historic stores. The owner and management company had the home in top condition.

My friend and I spent 2 nights at the coach house. It was a beautiful stay. We had some trouble getting in when we arrived but the owner came by and sorted it out. The house is beautiful and very nicely decorated. Both bedrooms are large each with its own spacious bathroom and could accommodate 2 couples easily. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The location is perfect, right on the edge of town with everything within walking distance. Would recommend for anyone seeking a warm, inviting home with access to everything Galena has to offer.

The Coach House is a historic little house that suited our party of three perfectly. The owner stopped by to help us out with something and gave us a little history lesson on the place. We would definitely return.

The house is small but what it lacks in size it makes up for in character. The kitchen area is beautiful with the stone walls and fireplace. It is just a couple of blocks from downtown and all of the restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend this house and would stay again!

We love the Coach House! We take a yearly couple's trip to Galena and we've stayed in the Coach House for the last 3 years. It's so relaxing and within walking distance from downtown. Always clean and inviting. We'll be back again! :)

This house is very clean and although it has two flights of stairs, we don't have any physical problems so the stairs do not bother us. Linda is great to work with for reservations and she is always available to be able to text and she responded quickly while we were there with any minor maintenance needs that we had reported to her. We love the soft big bath towels that were provided and the very comfy king bed on the third floor. The mattress was nice & firm and it didn't have any sagging like other mattress do in previous places that we have stayed at. The kitchen on the first level is great for our morning coffee and breakfast before heading out to the sites. The Coach House is wonderful!

Great small house. Well equipped kitchen which we made good use of for meals. Great location close to downtown and walking path along river. Only concern was third floor could use supplemental air conditioning with the hotter temperatures.

We really loved our stay here. The house was rented for a couples' get away. Unfortunately one of the couples had to cancel last minute, so we used it for just the 2 of us. We had a great weekend, and thought we would love to come back and stay there again with our friends, as it is well set up and very conveniently located. We were able to walk to town, ride to the bike path straight from the house, and loved the wine fest going on in the park that we could walk to.

We checked in easily on Friday afternoon, were really happy with the space. There was an en suite BR on the 2nd floor with a Queen, and another on the 3rd with a King. Only one shower, which is on the 3rd floor. If it hadn't been so buggy, there is a nice deck and grill to use. Very close to Main Street and Otto's across the river. There was a great TV to watch movies on the 2nd floor with comfortable furniture. Note that it is not for people with disabilities.

The Coach House was perfect! We stayed in Galena with another couple and loved our accommodations! The kitchen/living room were perfect to enjoy coffee and breakfast before heading out to explore for the day and then a great place to unwind and enjoy happy hour before we went out for the evening! Although it was so cozy we could have easily enjoyed an evening in!
The location is superb! We walked to town a couple of times a day...

We spent 3 nights at the Coach House with our 2 young boys. The location was fantastic just steps from Main Street! The house is nicely renovated with great use of space. The management team was prompt in answering questions we had prior to the trip. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Galena!

Our group of four ladies very much enjoyed this lovely, quaint home located just around the corner from the downtown strip. No driving was a huge plus! All the amenities were provided in the home, although it would be nice to have a dishwasher. We would definitely go back!
