The house was very clean. When we stayed, the darn flies were bad, but other than that, we had a great time! It was my Mom, my sister, my niece and two daughters that stayed. We enjoyed our time sitting around the big table talking about the wedding and the weekend. It was a nice place to stay, just big enough for the 6 of us!!

This is the third time we have stayed at this house. Perfect for a friends getaway due to 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The Owner's Club is an awesome amenity, too!

We came with 4 other couples for a fun weekend. House was beautiful, but does require some maintenance. Nothing extraordinary, mostly cosmetic. Could use a deep cleaning, as far as the carpets,etc. Only complaint is room with double beds does need a door for privacy. Everything else was fine.

The house was in a good location (close to the Owners' resort) but it was very dated and many things were not in great condition (e.g. porch blinds were broken, shower door didn't open).

We enjoyed our stay at the very nice home. The home was very clean and comfortable. The Wi-fi was the only problem we had. We very much enjoyed sitting on the screened porch and watching the blue birds and wrens.

not relaxing at all there were mites in the main bedroom and bathroom and management was more worried about the guest arriving that following Monday afternoon. The last day was stressful products thrown away expensive makeup, electric toothbrush, hairbrush etc. Managment did not seem to care about this at all our refunding money for last night along with product thrown away.

Property location perfect for a family wedding in Galena. We really felt that this house could use some repairs and better cleaning- broken window cranks with signs on them to not use, very bad smell in the basement where 2 bedrooms are, (mildew,damp, musty, not freshly cleaned), mildew seen in two showers downstairs, spider webs, and filthy dining room rug (crumbs and stains). Disappointed with how much we paid that the house wasn't cleaner. Hot tub was clean and a nice amenity however!

We had a fantastic time at this home in Galena. It's an ideal property for families or multiple couples as the bedrooms are all spread out and there are tons of bathrooms. The layout is perfect for central gathering with plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfy, showers were great, view was beautiful. Close to town and skiing. Looking forward to visiting Galena again in the summer or fall and would absolutely stay here again!

The house is large and has a beautiful wood fireplace. Could use a little TLC, felt a little dirty and dated. The windows are crank out and some of them wouldnt latch, so we had some cold coming in. A few of the shades were broken. I thought the beds were going to be to soft, but they were very comfortable. For the space the house was priced right, for the overall look of the house it is over priced.

Had a great stay. Can not wait to come back.

Great accommodations for a quick getaway to see friends and spouses from college for a fun filled long weekend. 46 years later and it seemed like we were still hanging out in our apartment in Champaign!

The house was extremely spacious for our group of 10! The hot tub and backyard view were amazing. Great place and will definitely stay here again!

Cinnabar was a lovely home for our stay in Galena. It is very large and the amount of bedrooms and baths fit our group perfectly. We all enjoyed the hot tub and especially the pool table. The kitchen was well equipped and roomy for more than one person to prepare food at the same time. The weather was extremely hot when we were there and so we did not make use of the lovely enclosed porch but that would be great for a cooler day and the deck that surrounds it is a great size. This is the best home we have rented in the Galena territory. The only thing that would have been nice is if the room with the two single beds had a door.

This was a great place to get away from the city life and relax. Nice quiet home and a beautiful area. Good for groups we all enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time during our stay here. The house was very spacious and roomy. Great area for our group to gather but also space to have some quiet time off by yourself, if wanted. House and property were very clean and kitchens supplies were more than adequate for meal prep. Great communication with property managers. Beautiful location and overall great stay. Our group is looking forward to our next start in the near future.

This house was a perfect setup for a sibling weekend. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of space. It would be nice if the metal supports for the spa lid were fixed and functional and suggest replacing the pool table pockets. The balls get stuck in the return tracks but that didn't stop us from playing. Everyone enjoyed the accommodations.

We had a wonderful time and really like this property. There is plenty of room and a great location.

This is the 3rd time that we have rented this house for a group of friends getting together over a long weekend. 4 couples, so this house is perfect for us with 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. The hot tub in the back is an added bonus and was also used by us. This house is large, well-furnished and in a perfect location for your trip to Galena. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a great time as two families staying together for a long weekend. The rooms are very large, and there's plenty of space both inside and out. Each family had two bathrooms for themselves. There's also an almost bedroom on the first floor with two twin beds, that just needs a bedroom door and it would have been a great extra space. We enjoyed grilling and having dinner out on the deck. The hot tub was comfortable (although needs to be propped up on one side), and we enjoyed making s'mores in the fireplace (lots of firewood was provided). It would have been nice to have a firepit outside as there's plenty of space, but the fireplace was a good stand-in. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment (although some cookie sheets would have been nice) - make sure to bring condiments, oil, etc...Having access to the Owner's Club was perfect - as well as all the trails. Thanks for a great stay. FYI, we had a very hard time connecting to the internet at the house and cell service throughout Galena.

This home was a peaceful place to heal from the loss of a loved one, reminisce about prior trips to Galena, and create a new memory.

We had a fantastic weekend! Very nice home. Hot tub needs to be leveled a bit.

Three generations of our family together for a few days was what the doctor ordered. We had a great time, like we did the previous 3. Terrific place with something to do for all ages in a beautiful setting that makes it hard to remember that you are still in Illinois.

It was in a nice location to travel to the different museums and the downtown shops. Restaurants were terrific. We did go during a time when many were closed for Sunday and Monday so check your schedule and shops times before going.

A great location for a few days of getting away. Plenty of private space as well as common space in this home. I would recommend staying here and enjoying the area.

We stayed with 3 other couples. There was plenty of room, and we enjoyed the pool table and the living areas. The property was clean and nice. The fixtures were dated, with minor non functional maintenance items, (pool table balls didn't return, some bathroom exhaust fans didn't work etc.) But there were much more expensive properties, and this was clean and very enjoyable.

This was our 2nd stay at the Cinnabar home. It’s exactly as shown. Plenty of space for four couples, clean, well stocked. Perfect for a long weekend with friends. Great location so the guys could golf, and the ladies could go in town for shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

My girlfriends and I had a great time getting away and having some relaxation time. It was much needed and definitely glad we decided to still do some type of girls trip, given the current environment. We thought the house was more than enough to accommodate the six of us that ended up coming on the trip. From bed arrangements to lounge areas, it was enough for us. We enjoyed the quietness of the location and loved the picturesque areas that we randomly came upon as we got within the final 10 miles or so of the home. During our visit, we had to call about an issue with a towel rack in one of the bathrooms, as well as the hot tub and our contact was very helpful and polite. Same for our contact the day of our departure, when we called to ask for a late checkout. We didn't get a chance to use any of the off property amenities, but the offerings we thought were good.

There are some things that stood out to us on while visiting your home. Even though the place was spotless as far as cleaning, when first arriving it had a smell. Not a bad smell but very stuffy, old smell, as if it needed to be aired out. Another, is that we ate breakfast on the deck one morning and would have been even better if the table had an umbrella to shade the sun. For the hot tub area, we used it at night and there were no type of outdoor lights for where it is located. Also, after finding out how to use the jet function on the tub, we still felt that the jets weren't powerful enough. Last, we were a bit put off by the fact that two rooms in the home were locked. For women traveling alone, it was a bit of a fear factor.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and definitely stated that we would recommend this place to other family and friends.

The house was very well equipped and comfortable. quiet location and only minutes away from everything.
Lots of room to spread out and relax. Home was clean and there were no surprises. shout out to Linda from VHOG she made our check in easy and our extension painless.

Had a terrific time and it was great accommodations. This is a lovely home and well taken care of.

Excellent stay at Cinnabar, especially since we were snowed in by an ice storm. Spacious for a group of 7, yet cozy and warm by the fireplace together.

Our extended family gathered here for our Thanksgiving weekend. We were delighted to find the home clean, spacious and inviting! Since we were fixing turkey and all the trimmings, we were also relieved to find the kitchen well stocked and with TWO coffee makers!!! We had received a phone call informing us that the Hot Tub needed repairs but we were adequately compensated for that disappointment.

Just my wife and I stayed Sunday to Thursday in this beautiful home in the Galena territory.Its magical when there are no lines in the best restaurants and golf courses are wide open! We come here often and this was the best stray so far! This rental was a clean,a great value and it’s location in the territory was perfect! Can’t wait to do this again

Me and 6 girlfriends had a great time in this house. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Close to Galena. The DeSota House had great food at a reasonable price. Durty Gurt’s was a fun eatery. Would recommend this house. The manager was very helpful.

Home was perfect for 4 siblings and their spouses to enjoy an annual reunion. Each couple had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Home is very comfortable with pool table, games, puzzles, and hot tub. Could have just relaxed at the home, but added bonus was trips into Galena for sightseeing.

We had everything we needed. 4 women with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The home is very nice. Spacious and clean. We were located in a nice area. Near the balloon races, Goat Yoga, club house for good food and cocktails.

Nice large home but in need of serious updating. Also large section over garages was all locked up.... spooky. We rented the house not just a section of the house.

We had 4 couples come over. It was a good time. The ladies went into town the gents went golfing. Weather was very good. The house we had was perfect for what we needed. Everyone had their own bedroom and baths. So it all worked out for us.The only thing that was wrong was the upstair bathroom toilet paper holder was broke. No big deal. Then we had a struggle to get t.v. to work. That was just probably our age and we do not have any idea how to run 2 remotes.

My family and I loved this house. VERY comfortable and spacious. The bedrooms are all great and of a decent size...the deck and hot tub area are first rate and the basement with two bedrooms and a pool table were a focal point. I WILL RENT THIS HOUSE AGAIN!!

We rented this house 2 years ago for the weekend and had a wonderful time then, so it was easy to choose this house for another weekend! We had a blast!

The house is located just 20 minutes from Main St. which was fantastic. Very. Lean, had everything we needed for a long weekend away. We had no problems with any appliances, tubs, washers, etc. I would definitely recommend Vacation Homes of Galena to friends and family.

Came here for a ski trip with a group of friends in December.. We really enjoyed the property and all the amenities. The property manager,Abby, was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond all expectations. Would definitely recommend the house and stay here again.

We had a couples weekend with 4 couples and we had an absolute blast! It was great that we each got our own room and bathroom and there was a ton of space for the games we played, as well as space for those of us preparing food in the kitchen. Our stay in our rental in Galena Territory was great. The weather, golfing, wedding and all the amenities were great. I'd recommend the house, etc to all. PS all friends & family that stayed loved the area and had no idea a place like that existed.

We were a group of 5 senior couples from a 5 state area that met for a short 2 day get-together and the house was perfect. Wonderful pickleball courts that we loved. Galena was a delightful town to host our gathering for a couple of days

The house and location were more than we expected. It was a great house, everything worked great and was very clean. It had everything we needed. The Galena area was a great place to visit and we are going to go back soon. We were on motorcycles and went a different direction everyday. Would stay there again. It was easy to rent through Home Away, it was our fourth time using them.
