Wonderful cozy home. Short trip to skiing over a long weekend. This is our second time staying in this house and we would definitely go back!

This house has everything you need for a great Galena stay. Comfortable, spacious, well supplied and lots of fun activities. It's also clean and beautiful.

Everything was great. Very clean house.
Grill worked and there was plenty of firewood.
All rooms were very nice.

This was our fourth annual family get together at a Galena Escape property.
This home was beautiful, clean and well stocked. It had a beautiful large hot tub, new gas grill, and great fire pit area with new chairs. We were concerned that the internet phone service was non existent. In fact, the first night. The landline didn’t work either. Our cell phones stated we had SOS
mode. The day we departed our cell phones were working. Linda and Gail are always prompt in returning our e-mails or phone calls.

Overall a very good experience. Easy to rent, check in and check out. All mechanicals working well. Great location close to pool and marina but remote enough for lots of peace and quiet. Home was clean enough but needs a deep clean - kitchen walls especially. Liked the list of items to bring from the rental company. Need to add soap for the showers as there was nothing provided but hand soap at the sinks.

This was the thrid time we have stayed at Cogan drive and never disappoints. The house is in great location and offers plenty of activities for the whole family. The home was very clean and the communication about check in and check out was excellent. Look forward to staying here again.

My husband and I stayed at this property for my son's wedding, which was at Oakhill Farm. It was a 25-minute drive from the venue. As the groom's mom it was a little ways away on roads I am not familiar with but worth it.

Our Keurig broke on the 3rd day, I called the manager immediately, and they had a new one there within the hour. My only recommendation to others, plan accordingly if you want to go to the Owners Club to use the exercise room/ pool (GO EARLY). We couldn't get a spot and had to leave, and that was 10:30 a.m.

Side Note: We had the rehearsal dinner at Eagle Ridge / Highlands Restaurant, the staff was amazing. We loved that it was only 6 minutes up the road. We enjoyed our stay, glad we chose it.

We had such a wonderful time and the home was clean, reasonably priced and close to downtown.

My family of 7 of us had a great stay. The place was exactly as described on VRBO. Plenty of space for all the adults and the grandkids. The grandkids really loved the game room the best. We liked the outside fire pit with plenty of chairs for everyone as well. Highly recommend

Great house for a family gathering. The home was very clean and had all the basic needs available. Comfortable furnishing's. The multigame arcade console was really cool. Had alot of older games. Pool table was great. Some items need to be replaced like the chairs around the fire pit were plastic and a couple were unusable but we had brought our own camping chairs so no big deal. Grill was useable but has seem better days. Hot tub was clean and ready to go. Very peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. Overall a great weekend getaway home!

Nothing to complain about.

The house was great! It was tucked away in a area that gave us a cabin like feel. The space was well laid out to where we all had enough seating in the common areas. Thw hot tub was perfect! The only small feedback was the bed in the master suite, it was super uncomfortable.

We had a great time. There were 3 couples and we each had nice, private space and the together space was great too. It was wonderful to have use of the garage as well. The lot was beautiful and very relaxing. Would love to stay here again.

We loved this house, from the beautiful neighborhood to the bedrooms to the hot tub, fire pit, and game room. We loved watching deer and other animals in the early morning hours make their way through the backyard. We loved looking at the stars. We also really appreciated the owner's club. We'd stay again!

We enjoyed our stay in this home. It was clean and well equipped. Bonus having a garage to park in as well as extra fridge in garage. However, the fridge did not get very cold to get beverages cold even though it was set on coldest setting. We also had problems with the ignitor on the gas grill working, so took awhile to get lit. The cell phone reception is pretty spotty and poor at times. Other than these minor issues, we really like this home and plan on staying again.

We had an AMAZING time at the house! we even decided to stay in saturday instead of going out we loved it so much. we will definitely be staying in your house again! The hot tub was great along with pool and of course the Pac Man game!

Also the bed in the upstairs front bedroom needs to be replaced. It's too soft and seems smaller than a queen size. Might be a full size. My cell phone could not get a signal. Aside from these things, we did enjoy our stay and would use this house again in the future.

very nice home had a wonderful time very clean good customerservice when i called managing service nice game room downstairs wish weather was warmer so could take advantage of using hot tub would recommend this property only disadvantage for us elderly couple was the darkness when returning home on winding roads tried to be in before dark good location for a base to do touring in galina

We have always had great stays when booking through Vacation Hones of Galena. The homes are always as described and well outfitted! Cohan Drive was great for our stay. The only little disappointment was ... and it’s NOT a big deal and was more on us and checking descriptions... but for three couples sharing the cost of a get away the third bedroom is quite small... the tiny dresser had to be in the closet and no tv in that room. We did fine but it might have been a better home for our family stay with the kids in that room. The house itself was great and the hot tub large and so nice to use . Again the bedroom issue was more our fault for not reading well and we still really enjoyed the house and recommend it highly! A bonus was access to the garage since it was raining when we arrived so unloading was much nicer and the extra fridge in the garage was terrific for stocking up all the waters and beverages ! Thanks for another great Galena weekend!

The home was beautiful and large enough for many to enjoy. My only complaint is the tolites are so small and low to the ground. It made it very difficult for my grandmother to use and even myself.

We had a group of 7 of us stay at this home for our annual girls trip. We absolutely loved the house, the view, and the hot tub. The drive to the property was beautiful and not too far from town. The house was clean and everything in working order. Plenty of room for all of us!

Our stay in Galena was fantastic! This house is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. We all enjoyed the pool table and the PacMan game which was a new one for us. I would say that the internet and cell phone service was a little sketchy. We would definitely stay in this house again.

This was our second time staying at this property. We really enjoy this home because of the location close to owners club and the hot tub, pool table and video game makes it fun for the adults and kids.

It was wonderful. What a beautiful area and the house we rented was more than adequate. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend rending this place for your stay in Galena.

We loved the house - it reminded me of my grandparents’ home in Apple Canyon Lake. We ended the hottub with its cool multicolored lights, roasted hot dogs and made s’mores over the fire pit, enjoyed the fireplace while watching movies, and played games in the lower level. We also loved going over to the owner’s club to swim in the pool. It’s a little bit of a hilly drive to the shops and restaurants but once we got used to it (again), it was nice and scenic. Overall, it was a fun and relaxing getaway within a two hour drive from home (Dekalb, IL).

We enjoyed our stay! The house was very nice and extremely clean. The only possible negative we would give the house is that it is not handicap accessible. Our suggestion would be to add a handrail to the front and garage entrances. Would also suggest a taller toilet in the upstairs master bathroom. We traveled with my elderly parents and this was difficult for them.

The house was lovely with almost anything you could think to need. The location is great being outside of town but a quick and easy drive in. Next trip we take to the area, we hope to use again.

This home is a great rental! It's proximity to town is wonderful. The basement has a wonderful game room! The arcade game has a ton of fun old school games to chose from! The hot tub was great for winding down in a serene atmosphere! Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

A very relaxing stay. So much to do in the Galena and Eagle Ridge area. The host was very accommodating and the home was nice and tidy. Easy check in. Would definitely come back.

Had a great time in this well equipped home. Especially enjoyed the kitchen with ample wares to make most any meal. The hot tub was a hit with our kids (on the coldest weekend of 2021!!) and the gaming table entertained all. My husband's should still hurts from the Galaga game!

Spacious house for 2 couples. Loved the open layout of the kitchen/dining room/living room. Enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, and games in the basement, as well as the walking trail behind the house.

We had a great stay. The place was lovely and spacious, with lots for us to do. It was the perfect setting for a winter getaway, with a hot tub, game room, and fireplace. We didn’t use the pool room or any of the other amenities, but we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time! The pictures of the house make it look bigger than it is, however it still had more than enough space for our family of 8! The kitchen is very well stocked , the garage was a nice feature, the outdoor space is wonderful, the pool table was well used and the pac man table wa# a huge hit! We really enjoyed the house!

The house was extremely clean. We only had one issue with the hit tub not warming up, I contacted the property manager and had quick response. It was an easy fix and we were able to enjoy the hot tub. Beautiful views and a private lot.

We had everything we needed. Well equipped home. They had ample firewood, hot tub and a fireplace in the living room that we used a lot. Very clean, comfortable beds. Not many pillows, bring your own. Internet service was spotty, but they had a land line. Beautiful country

My family of 4 had a great time at the Cogan house. Everything was as pictured. The A/C had some trouble our 2nd day, we contacted Linda and she took care of it immediately. Service was called and it was back up and running within the hour. My little guy really loves "his" new Green Galena house. We plan on returning!

We had a wonderful getaway at this beautiful property. The house was meticulous and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, towels were plentiful and the onsite activities were perfect. We all enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace, pool table and the Pac-Man video game(s). I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a relaxing, fun filled weekend. (And, the property management company was fantastic to work with.)

We enjoyed the food and service at Dirty Gurt’s Burger Joynt, and shopping downtown Galena. Tried Galena Brewing Company, brews were ok. Really liked Blaum Brothers Distilling. Food at Vinny Vanucchi’s left a lot to be desired.
Overall our Galena experience and stay was excellent!!

Very clean, cozy home! Views were beautiful! No complaints at all! I must say if you need to stay connected to home the cell coverage was spotty to non existent at times. A drive up the road connected. The home sits a little low in the beautiful, rolling hills of the territory.

Galena is a great weekend spot. Home was clean and a great family property.

This home had beautiful views and included access to the club where we could swim, exercise and play games. On property we each had our own bathrooms and the family time included video games in the lower level, pool table, a fire pit to gather around and a hot tub to soak in! We even enjoyed a boat ride at the marina!

Enjoyed game room with my grandchildren and the hot tub was enjoyed by all!
My only suggestion would be to eliminate the old dirty patio furniture from the hot tub area!

It did feel like your head was lower than the rest of your body.

Relaxing. Time with family, priceless. Only 1 negative comment...please replace 2 king mattresses very uncomfortable, actually feels like your head is lower than your body, too soft. Otherwise lovely home!

We’ve stayed at this house before. The house is perfect for the family get away we want. What we found disappointing were the beds (very old, uncomfortable mattresses. The mattress in the Master isn’t even the right size for the bed frame) and the low grade WiFi. This is the 5th time we rented a home in the “territory” and by far it was the worst WiFi. Fix those things and the house would be perfect.

We rented this home with 2 other couples to attend a wedding at Eagle Ridge. The home was exactly as described and could not have been more beautiful. Very clean, with a great hot tub and deck. There was a gas grill with an extra tank (nice touch)and we all enjoyed staying there. Fantastic livingroom and basement had pool table, card table (with poker chips)and a MS PACMAN game! One note: because it is somewhat remote in the "Territory" there was no cell service (we all use AT&T) and most of the time the WIFI was not working. Actually it did force everyone to not be on their phones all weekend which was a nice benefit. You could get cell service if you drove a short distance AND there was a Land Line in the kitchen in case of emergency. We would stay there again anytime.

We were very happy with the home! It had everything we needed, it was very clean, great quiet location and plenty of room for our family girl’s weekend!

We had another wonderful stay in the Territory and for several years have enjoyed the properties in vacation homes of Galena. This was not our favorite house in terms of layout but it was adequate. It seemed a bit worn here and there. We did love the location and view with access to the trail behind the home.

We spent three nights at the Cogan home for our family Christmas. This is a very nice home that had all the things we needed for our family. The kitchen was very nice and had all the things we needed for meals during our stay. My family loved the hot tub and the pool table. It was a great Christmas get-away for my family.

We loved this home & the location. The home was comfortable, cozy, immaculately clean & had a fully stocked kitchen. Easy to adjust the temp & everything worked. Plenty of room. The location was perfect. Far enough away to be quiet & dark but close to all the amenities & Downtown Galena. Wonderful trails only steps away. We’ve stayed in a lot of vacation homes & this was one of the finest. Very friendly owners too. We are planning to stay again next year.

Vacation Homes of Galena were great. We really appreciated all the information provided with the Hospitality app. The Cogan house was cozy, comfortable and clean. Layout of the home was great, plenty of room to get together and relax. Location was wonderful. The only comment is that we wished the kitchen was stocked with more items for cooking.

Our Association has been coming to Galena Territory for almost thirty years. I've had the pleasure to stay in the Lodge and many different rentals. 136 Cogan may be the best value I have enjoyed. Everything was in place for a very relaxing and pleasant stay. I would recommend to anyone. As a matter of fact, I talked it up so much, if it is still on the market I expect a friendly competition for who stays for next years conference.

Very nice

This property was very lovely and just as pictured and described. The yard was very private and spacious and the interior immaculate. My husband and two adult boys had a great couple of days golfing, ziplining, dining and relaxing.

Our family enjoyed the quiet setting and relaxing location of the rental house. Use of the clubs pool for the little ones was a big bonus.

Spent time with a group of friends in Galena. Home and area were perfect for our stay. Weather did not cooperate, but enjoyed the location!

This was one of the most beautiful and relaxing vacations we have taken. The home was amazing. Access to the president club was a great bonus! We will be back! Can't wait to see Galena in the fall!
